How we collect, use, and protect your information

TN Visa Alert ("we," "our," or "us") provides email notifications about potential TN/L visa appointment openings at Buffalo-area land ports. This policy explains what we collect, how we use it, and your choices.

What we collect

Information you provide

  • Account & contact: email address, passwordless sign-in details (e.g., magic link), and support messages.
  • Alert preferences: bridges you care about, time window, quiet hours, and alert style.
  • Purchases: selected plan (14/30/60 days). Payment details are handled by our payment processor; we don't store full card numbers.

Information we get automatically

  • Service logs: basic app and email delivery logs (e.g., timestamps, IP at request time, user agent) to operate and secure the service.
  • Email events: send status (delivered/bounced). We don't read your emails; we may record open/click events to improve deliverability if your client supports it.

Information we do not collect

  • No government portal credentials.
  • No immigration documents or sensitive identity documents.
  • No biometric data.

How we use information

  • Provide the service: create your account, apply your preferences, and send alerts when relevant openings appear.
  • Support & safety: respond to requests, prevent abuse, debug issues, and protect the service.
  • Payments: process purchases and prevent fraud (via our payment processor).
  • Improve the product: aggregate usage patterns to make the service faster, more reliable, and easier to use.
  • Legal compliance: keep necessary purchase/transaction records as required by law.

How we obtain appointment information

We monitor publicly available sources and trusted public signals (including cancellations). We are not affiliated with CBP or any government agency and do not book appointments for you.

When we share information

We don't sell your personal information. We share only as needed to run the service:

  • Payment processing (e.g., a third-party processor) to handle transactions.
  • Email delivery (e.g., a transactional email provider) to send alerts.
  • Cloud hosting & storage to run the app.
  • Error monitoring/analytics to keep things reliable.
  • Legal & safety if required by law or to prevent harm.

Where possible, partners receive only what's necessary to perform their function and are bound by confidentiality and data-protection obligations.

Data retention

  • Account & preferences: kept while your account is active; delete on request.
  • Email & app logs: kept for a limited period needed for security and troubleshooting.
  • Payment records: retained as required by tax, accounting, or other legal obligations.

Your choices & rights

  • Access / correction / deletion: email support@tnvisaalert.com.
  • Email settings: change alert style, quiet hours, or unsubscribe via links in our emails or account settings.
  • Do Not Track: we don't respond to DNT signals, but we minimize tracking and use only what's needed to operate the service.

If you're in regions with specific privacy laws (e.g., EEA/UK, California), you may have additional rights such as portability or restriction of processing. Contact us and we'll help exercise those rights consistent with applicable law.

Security

We use reasonable administrative, technical, and physical safeguards to protect your data (e.g., encryption in transit, access controls). No system is perfectly secure; we work to prevent, detect, and respond to incidents.

Children's privacy

The service isn't directed to children under 16, and we don't knowingly collect their data.

International transfers

We may process and store information in countries outside your own. Where required, we take steps to ensure an adequate level of protection for cross-border transfers.

Changes to this policy

If we make material changes, we'll post them here and, when appropriate, notify you by email or in-app.
